Wills' Pin fire revolver

Metal with wooden handle, 18.5cm (overall length)
Pictures Collection, H15353

This particular kind of revolver was manufactured in Belgium and was a very widely used firearm at this time.  Called a 'pinfire' because of the firing pin which projected from the side of the bullet casing, rather than being in the base, as in modern ammunition.
